Day 1: Arrival & Sunset Welcome
Guests arrive at Pula or Trieste Airport, where a private driver welcomes them with a smile and a refreshment. The journey continues through Istria’s rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves as guests are transferred to a luxurious countryside retreat – a boutique hotel nestled near Motovun. Upon arrival, check-in is smooth and relaxed, followed by time to unwind on a private terrace overlooking the valley.
In the late afternoon, a welcome aperitif is served: a chilled glass of Malvazija accompanied by homemade focaccia and olive oil. As golden light bathes the hills, guests are guided to an outdoor terrace for a five-course welcome dinner prepared by a local chef. Each dish is paired with carefully selected Istrian wines. The evening ends with storytelling around a firepit and a nightcap of Teran dessert wine under the stars.
Day 2: Truffle Hunt & Motovun Magic
After a breakfast of warm croissants, fruit, and fresh-squeezed juices, the day begins with a private transfer into the lush truffle-rich forests surrounding Buzet. Here, guests meet a local truffle hunter and his trained dogs for a truly unique adventure: the thrill of unearthing prized white and black truffles straight from the earth.
The hunt is followed by a rustic lunch on a farmhouse terrace, featuring tagliatelle with shaved truffle, truffle-infused cheese, and local honey. After lunch, guests are taken to Motovun, where cobbled streets and medieval towers invite exploration. A private guide shares the town’s rich history, after which a local winery hosts a sunset tasting session.
The day ends with a leisurely dinner, either at the hotel or in a nearby village known for its seasonal cuisine and slow food culture.

Day 3: Grožnjan & Olive Oil Estates
The morning opens with soft sunlight and breakfast on the hotel terrace. A short scenic drive leads to Grožnjan – an artists’ village where time slows down. Guests wander through narrow alleys lined with galleries, studios, and flower-filled windows, often accompanied by the sound of live classical music echoing from a nearby square.
In the afternoon, the journey continues south to Vodnjan, home to some of Croatia’s most prestigious olive oil estates. At one of these estates, guests tour olive groves, learn about ancient and modern pressing techniques, and enjoy a sommelier-led olive oil tasting. Notes of wild herbs, artichoke, and almonds dance on the palate as each oil is paired with fresh bread, local cheeses, and prosciutto.
The evening concludes with a curated multi-course dinner in a countryside villa, celebrating olive oil as the star of every dish.
Day 4: Rovinj by the Sea
Today, guests awaken to the gentle sounds of nature and enjoy a leisurely breakfast before setting off for the coast. The drive to Rovinj reveals Istria’s transformation – from rolling hills to glittering sea. Upon arrival, a private guide takes guests on a walking tour through the romantic old town, pointing out Venetian architecture, hidden alleys, and art studios.
There’s time for espresso by the marina or a light lunch at a seafront café. In the afternoon, guests may choose to swim, visit a local gallery, or simply wander the waterfront promenade. As the sun begins to set, a table awaits at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Dinner is an elegant journey through the flavors of the Adriatic, with sommelier wine pairings to match each course.
After dinner, return to the hotel or opt for a gentle moonlit walk through Rovinj’s old town.

Day 5: Poreč & Departure
On the final morning, guests enjoy a farewell breakfast before departing for Poreč. This Roman-era town sits gracefully along the sea, and its famous Euphrasian Basilica – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – offers a stunning view into Istria’s layered past. Guests are guided through its mosaics and arches, then given time to explore the nearby streets and artisan shops.
A seaside lunch features grilled seafood, homemade pasta, and a last glass of chilled white wine. As the afternoon approaches, a private driver arrives to take guests to the airport. But the journey doesn’t end there – each guest receives a curated farewell gift: a selection of Istrian wine, organic olive oil, and a small jar of truffle salt to bring the memory of Istria home.
This final gesture closes a rich and indulgent journey – a true immersion into the flavors, textures, and landscapes of Istria.
